Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Water Business Group CAD Manager, we'll count on you to:

  • Create designs independently under broad direction from the Project Engineer or Project Manager.
  • Demonstrate extensive knowledge of Civil 3D, BIM, design development, construction documents, technical and engineering knowledge.
  • Support design team using AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar software platforms to perform tasks such as survey data processing, surface creation, quantity take offs, and piping alignments.
  • Create plan and profile construction drawings of piping alignments and civil site plans using AutoCAD Civil 3D software.
  • Create construction drawings of heavy civil works structures and piping and equipment designs for pumping and treatment facilities working in a BIM production environment.
  • Direct preparation of drawings by other technicians of lesser experience.
  • Direct supervision of other BIM/CAD staff.
  • Work with client or contractor representatives as needed.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Associate or technical school degree, or combination of education and relevant experience
  • A minimum of 10 years' experience in technical support of BIM applications such as AutoCAD and MicroStation
  • Demonstrate a strong knowledge of industry standards and practices in the areas of CADD, AutoCAD, Revit, MicroStation, GEOPAK, Land Desktop and InRoads; engineering documentation and plan presentation.
  • Uses office productivity software effectively (MS Office)
  • Superior client service skills and attention to detail are essential
  • Will engage in close and effective communication with HDR management and production users
  • Communicates effectively, as well as having an enthusiastic, energetic work ethic
  • Demonstrates strong analytical and problem-solving skills including ability to gather, organize and interpret data for process monitoring or business case development
  • Must have strong organization skills and sound judgment in establishing priorities among requests and project work
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
  • Fully vaccinated for COVID-19. This position requires onsite client visits, or, this position will be co-located at the client site. The client requires all contractors/consultants/vendors who work or visit the site be fully vaccinated for COVID-19.

The expected compensation range for this position is $80,339.00 - $131,986.00 annually depending upon skills, experience, education and geographical location.
