Job Description
Job Responsibilities
  • Stand alone in Utility District or Area Work Center overseeing 2-4 trucks. (5-10 Team Members).
  • Coordinate with owner field representatives.
  • Ensures each bucket completes an activity plan at each location and reviews for accuracy and completeness.
  • Gives direction throughout the day to the buckets - on-site at all times with buckets.
  • Primary Safety contact on-site when GF is not onsite.
  • Leads by example and ensures crew is following all safety and company standards & procedures.
  • Adhere to safety practices and procedures for both Cianbro and the client as required, such as grounding and rubber glove & sleeve use.
  • Replace damaged poles, attach cross arms, insulators, and auxiliary equipment as required.
  • Conductor installation, knowledge of pulling equipment, and make-ready work as required.
  • Safely install, maintain, and repair electrical distribution systems, including the conductor, cables, sagging, clipping, dead-end terminations, and associated equipment.
  • Willing to assist in the training and direction of apprentices.
  • Safely operate various types of distribution equipment i.e. digger derrick, bucket trucks, wire pulling equipment.
Qualifications/ Requirements
  • Record of safe driving (CDL A required at hire).
  • CPR and First Aid Certification.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential.
  • Strong understanding and safety sense relating to energized systems.
  • Ability to work effectively with internal and external customers.
  • Ability to climb poles and structures and work at elevated heights.
  • Wear specialized protective or safety equipment, working outdoors exposed to all weather conditions and terrain including the new right of way construction.
  • Thorough knowledge of all aspects of utility construction (technology, equipment, and methods, and safety required.
  • Must have a solid understanding of environmental rules and regulations.
