LFS, Inc. was established in 1967 and is a wholly owned subsidiary of Trident Seafoods. Our corporate headquarters is in Bellingham, WA and we have three year-round locations in Washington State: Bellingham, Seattle, and Poulsbo. LFS also has five year-round locations in Alaska: Anchorage, Cordova, Dutch Harbor, Homer (Kachemak Gear Shed), and Sitka; and three seasonal locations in Kenai, Dillingham and Naknek. Job Summary: Looking for a retail sales clerk to represent our business and to sell merchandise to customers by performing the following duties.

We are looking for employees with commercial and/or recreational fishing knowledge as well as boat partand accessory knowledge.

Weekend shifts are required. Seasonal non-benefited position. May-August

Essential Functions:

1. Must have customer service skills with the ability to interact with customers in person and over the phone.
2. Previous experience with a point of sale program or cash register is helpful.
3. Stocks shelves, counters, or tables with merchandise.
4. Sets up advertising displays or arranges merchandise on counters or tables to promote sales.
5. Stamps, marks, or tags price on merchandise.
6. Obtains merchandise requested by customer or receives merchandise selected by customer.
7. Answers customer's questions concerning location, price, and use of merchandise.
8. Totals price and tax on merchandise purchased by customer to determine bill.
9. Accepts payment and makes change.
10. Wraps or bags merchandise for customers.
11. Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.
12. Removes and records amount of cash in register at end of shift.
13. Calculates sales discount to determine price.
14. Standing up to 6 hours at a time.
15. Ensure excellent retail experience for customer.

Additional Responsibilities:

1. Performs other similar or related duties as requested or assigned.

Education:

One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Demands:While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear, to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must routinely lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. The employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 30-40 pounds.
