Inventory Clerk

The Inventory Clerk maintains efficient inventory department by checking stock, delivering all raw and finished materials to operations departments according to established procedures; and properly documenting inventory transactions.

Our Inventory department in Belleville, IL is now looking for a
Inventory Clerk.

Key Tasks

MAINTAINS INVENTORY BY:
Stocking shelves of incoming qualified received goods per assigned areas; replenishing stock of inventory items needed for assigned areas by performing a daily visual check; pulling items from the shelf; completing purchase requisitions for non-inventory items; inspecting various inventory components assembled in house for proper labeling and quality standards; assisting with scheduled cycle counts as needed.

PERFORMS INVENTORY RECORDS BY:
Completing system transactions that include but are not limited to stockroom transfers and work orders, miscellaneous issues, and miscellaneous receipts; updating of various excel spreadsheets; maintaining a filing system of paperwork.

SUPPORTS OPERATIONS BY:
Assisting with material prep for external suppliers including pulling items from the shelf, performing system transactions and delivering to the shipping department; gathering product for international shipments by gathering, boxing, and delivering according to established procedures; performing system transactions accordingly; delivering and picking up parts and components locally; assuring available inventory for proper work flow of other departments; assisting in receiving specialist duties; cross-checking receiving report; conducting bi-weekly audits of finished goods inventory.

MAINTAINS QUALITY SERVICE BY:
Keeping error rates minimal and within acceptable ranges; pulling product from shelf using FIFO method; maintaining an efficient work pace; meeting and exceeding all performance measurements: quantity, accuracy, timeliness, and thoroughness of work performed.

Your Background

  • High School diploma or GED required and at least six months ROHO experience is preferred.
  • Lift truck operator safety training and certification; electric pallet jack training and certification; inner and interdepartmental cross training; class C driver's license certification as requested.
  • Basic personal computer skills including electronic mail, routine database activity, word processing, spreadsheet, graphics, etc.; ability to learn basic ERP applications.
